In the member’s worlds of Oldschool Runescape, you may have seen a few people by fishing locations wielding a Harpoon and using it to catch their Tuna, Swordfish and Sharks.
The equipable harpoon in the 2007 version of Runescape is called the ‘Barb-tail Harpoon’ and has no requirements to use. This harpoon is very useful to any player that is looking to do some fishing and that is because it provides an extra inventory space, one that would normally be used by a regular harpoon.
To obtain the equipable barb-tail harpoon, you need either of these 2 things: 33 Hunter or 5,000gp. The harpoon is dropped after trapping barb-tailed kebbit (requires 33 Hunter) and they are trade-able, meaning they are sold in the Grand Exchange for only a few thousand gold (usually 5k),
That is all it takes to having a harpoon you can equip in Oldschool Runescape! The barb-tail harpoon is definitely an item you should invest in if you plan on fishing Tuna, Swordfish or Sharks for any period of time.
